ASTD is pleased to announce a gift from Microsoft for a limited number of travel reimbursement awards of up to $500 for 2009 chapter leaders to attend the ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference (ALC) October 31-November 1, 2008, in Arlington, Virginia. The reimbursement awards are intended for chapter leaders who would not otherwise be able to attend ALC without such financial assistance. (In an effort to allow greater participation, chapter leaders who received ALC travel reimbursement awards in 2007 may not apply for the 2008 awards.) To apply for a travel reimbursement award, please register for the drawing with the name of your chapter and your 2009 chapter leadership position by September 15, 2008. Chapter leaders to receive the travel reimbursement award will be randomly selected by a third party from among the applicants and will be notified by September 17, 2008. The reimbursement may be applied only to plane, train, car, and lodging expenses incurred in conjunction with ALC but does not apply to meals.

To receive the reimbursement, chapter leaders selected to receive the reimbursement award must submit an ASTD expense report form with original receipts within two weeks of the conference.
